“Added Extra Stress”: Suspended PGA Tour Pro Gets Honest About His Second Job in Lie Detector Test

Wesley Bryan was put to the test, literally. During a lie detector challenge on Takomo Golf, the suspended PGA Tour pro got honest about the stress his successful YouTube channel has caused.
Bryan was asked if he was ever bored of running his channel in a lie detector test.
Bryan said, “Overall, no. At times, in spurts, I feel like it has added a little extra stress to my life.”

Well, Wesley Bryan and his brother George Bryan IV have been posting on YouTube since early 2014. At first, their content centered on golf trick shots. Now, the Bryan Bros Golf YouTube channel has more than 770,000 subscribers. The channel's course vlogs, matches, and collaborations are now his main focus.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the channel changed direction. It moved from trick shots to course vlogs, matches, and challenges. Viewership increased during this period, passing 134 million total views by early 2026.
However, it's also caused trouble for Bryan. After participating in the LIV Duels, a YouTube scramble event, the PGA Tour ruled that Wesley Bryan violated Tour policy through a breach of its exclusive media rights rules. The result was the 2017 RBC Heritage winner being suspended indefinitely.
Despite This, Bryan Attempted to Make a Stand
The Duels video was highly successful for his YouTube channel, bringing in over 2.5 million views and becoming the third most popular video on his channel.
That's why Bryan took a stand after being suspended from the PGA Tour.
"At the end of the day, it was me taking a stance that YouTube golf is my passion. That’s where I feel like I can have the most impact on the game of golf...And I felt like it was going to better serve our audience by me doing the YouTube thing and potentially sacrificing playing rights on the PGA Tour to continue to do what I was really passionate about."
