Annika Sörenstam has retired, and yet she still rules the Golf world.
And just a day ago, Louise Rydquist, one of the Ambassadors of the Annika Development Program, spoke her heart out about the Swedish legend.
Annika Foundation uploaded a video of Rydquist on their official Instagram Page with the caption, "Get to know a little bit about @louiserydqvist, one of our 2025 #ANNIKADevelopmentProgram Ambassadors!"
“She [Annika] is the greatest of all time in golf, but she is yet so humble," said Louise Rydquist. "She gives back so much to the community of golf and inspires girls and golfers all over the world, which I think is incredible."
Annika has a long list of achievements in golf: 72 LPGA Tour victories, 10 major championships, and much more. She is also the first woman in 58 years to play in a PGA Tour event in 2003. Historic, right? Also, the first woman to shoot 59 in an LPGA event in 2001 at Standard Register PING.
But it's not just Louise Rydquist, who has shown her admiration towards Annika.
Annika Sorenstam's Influence is unmatched
Like Louise Rydquist, Linn Grant also shared how she gets inspiration from Annika Sorenstam, "just learning a bit from her, seeing her, and kind of feeling like it's possible to play out here, and she's been a huge inspiration."
Sweden’s Lynn Grant joined Australian Grace Kim at The Annika at Pelican Gold Club in November 2025, where they stood at 9-under 131. And like many other Swedish golfers. Grant also grew up idolizing Sorenstam and expressed her feelings after the tournament.
