Another LIV Golf Captain’s Journey Quietly Comes to an End After Brooks Koepka

Kevin Na, one of the earliest high-profile players to resign his PGA Tour membership in 2022 and join the Saudi-backed LIV Golf circuit, has decided to leave the circuit.
Na, who led the Iron Heads since LIV Golf’s launch, was notably absent from a team lunch ahead of the official rebrand to the Korean Golf Club.
The developments suggested Kevin Na’s time on LIV Golf had come to an end, which the Korean Golf Club confirmed in a post shared on X on January 14.
Korean Golf Club wrote: “Thank you, Kevin. Kevin now closes his LIV Golf chapter, leaving behind a lasting mark on the league and the team.”
On June 4, 2022, Kevin Na formally resigned from the PGA Tour and joined LIV Golf. Since then, he has focused on building a team identity linked to Asia while continuing his playing career.
A key moment during Kevin Na’s tenure was securing a LIV Golf event in South Korea in 2025, which he described as “three years in the making” and a “home game” for his team.
With Kevin Na’s departure from LIV Golf, the captaincy of the Korean Golf Club, formerly known as Iron Heads GC, is now vacant. Who could step in to take on the role?
After Kevin Na’s departure new captain of the Korean Golf Club
A report from Maeil Business Newspaper, an economic media outlet in South Korea, suggested that Na could be replaced as captain by Byeong Hun An,
Byeong move follows a PGA Tour career spanning 228 events, during which he recorded 30 top-10 finishes, including five runner-up results and four third-place finishes.
While he did not register a victory on the tour, he earned $21.53 million in prize money and remains eligible to compete for titles on the DP World Tour through points accumulated from his world ranking as a LIV Golf member.
The reported roster for the Korean Golf Club lists Byeong Hun An as captain, alongside Danny Lee, Minkyu Kim, and Younghan Song.
LIV Golf has adopted the team’s new identity, which features the white tiger as a symbol drawn from Korean history and folklore.
Is this the start of a new chapter for LIV Golf’s Korean project?
