Anthony Kim’s “Delusional Enough” Claim Signals Big Intent on LIV’s 4Aces

Anthony Kim, who was relegated after last season, is no longer a wild card in the LIV Golf, and his latest remarks have revealed his confidence and a perspective that refuses to shrink.
Following the first day of LIV Golf Adelaide, Kim spoke to the media about his camp change and current resolve. Now embracing the 4Aces GC environment, the 40-year-old admitted that he could remain a wild card. However, he chose to be on the 4Aces team because of his belief and personal connection.
Kim also detailed his mindset to grow constantly, regardless of the change, saying, "I'm delusional enough that my expectations were the same today as they were two years ago. But now I'm actually able to produce some of the good shots."
Kim, who has replaced Patrick Reed, reinforced his narrative with clarity, saying, “My goals are to get 1 percent better every day, stay sober, enjoy time with my family, and whatever happens happens, because all I can do is try my best”.
After joining the 4Aces GC, Kim shot a 5 under par 67 with 6 birdies to hold the T3 position after the first round of LIV Golf Adelaide. One of his teammates also expressed elation after his addition to the team.
Dustin Johnson Appreciates Anthony Kim’s Arrival to 4Aces GC
The 4Aces GC skipper, Dustin Johnson's remarks about Kim's entry into the club spoke volumes about the connection that made the 40-year-old choose the club over the option to stay wild card.
Addressing Kim's inclusion, Johnson said, "We’re super-excited to have AK join the team."
He added, "Obviously, he’s trending in the right direction. When you take that long from the game, it takes a while to get it back. But I’ve played enough with him, and you can tell it’s still in there. He’s been working really hard, and I think he’s going to be a really good addition."
Chris Rosaasen, the General Manager of 4Aces, looked for many alternatives for Patrick Reed, but in the end, it was the 40-year-old who replaced him.
During the Promotions event, Kim finished 3rd. After that, he proceeded with that momentum to last week's season-opening tournament. Kim’s final-round 6-under 66 helped him get 9th position on the leaderboard.
After Kim's joining, Rosaaasen said, “We’ve been following his journey for the past two years since he came into the league, and he’s been trending upwards”.
So, do you think Kim will be able to lead the 4Aces GC to a victory in the first tournament where he is representing them?
