Ranking World #1 for the past 168 weeks, Scottie Scheffler has been turning heads in more ways than one. Racking up win after win this season, fans have been enjoying Schefflers game and it's not a secret that the Golf World has been obssesed with him. That being said, Scottie has his eyes on something else entirely when he's not dominating on the course.

Scottie has made it very clear that a comfort show for him is the American sitcom "The Office". Now who saw that coming? Before his 2022 Masters victory, Scheffler said he watched “The Office” on Sunday night to calm himself before the final round!

Scheffler has built a reputation as one of golf’s most composed athletes. He won the Masters at 25, and reinforced his status with historic consistency on tour. Yet behind his calm exterior is a fan who knows every beat of the Scranton branch, from Dwight Schrute’s bed-and-breakfast at Schrute Farms to the true value of a Schrute Buck.

His answers in a Golf Digest interview made it clear that he has rewatched the show enough times to ace even the trickiest trivia questions. His connection to the show extends beyond quotes and quizzes.

In an earlier interview, Scheffler described how “The Office” is part of his nightly routine. He said they usually end with dinner, followed by a few episodes of the series. When asked who his favorite character is, he admitted that he genuinely cannot choose.

One of the most personal parts of the conversation came when he talked about sharing the show with his wife, Meredith. Scheffler said she did not like The Office at first and often dismissed it when he watched random episodes. He convinced her to start from the beginning, and only then did she understand why it was his favorite show. She now laughs at the same moments he does, and the two watch it together whenever travel and tournaments allow.

His fandom resurfaced on the eve of the 2024 Players Championship, when Scheffler handed out a series of playful Dundie-style awards to his PGA Tour friends. Michael Scott hands out Dundies at Chili’s; Scheffler staged his version from the locker room at TPC Sawgrass. His friends were the targets of inside jokes, including Sam Burns receiving the award for “Extreme Repulsiveness.” Adam Scott won “Hottest in the Office”, a moment Scheffler delivered with the perfect deadpan tone.

Scheffler’s performances on the course often look surgical, but off the course, he is a fan who unwinds exactly like millions of others. He quotes Dwight, laughs at Stanley’s Pretzel Day obsession, remembers Jan’s Serenity by Jan candle business, and delights in calling back to the show’s most chaotic moments. Golf may be his profession, and excellence may be his standard, but The Office is the part of his everyday life that keeps him grounded and happy.

For fans of both golf and pop culture, the real question becomes: which Office character does Scottie resemble most: the steady, quietly sharp Jim Halpert or the disciplined, hyper-focused Dwight Schrute?
