15-time LPGA Tour winner and two-time major winner Nelly Korda has shared most of her victories with her caddie.

During an interview clip published by Golf.com a year ago, Korda shared her sister's role in meeting caddie Jason McDede.

“So my rookie year, I was kind of looking for a caddy for the next year on tour, and my sister’s old caddy, Kyle, was really good friends with Jason [Korda’s caddie] and he kind of knew that I was looking for a caddy starting my second year on tour, and I guess, you know, they kind of talked him [Jason] into it... Best decision he’s ever made.”

Korda and McDede began working together at the start of the 2018 season, two years after she made her professional debut in 2016. Their first win together came in October 2018 at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship, with McDede not leaving her side.

It's a sentiment Korda appreciated. After her Chevron win, Korda said, "I honestly don't have any words, just because there are too many. He has been by my side for every single one of my wins out here, and in a sense he's my punching bag out there, he's my best friend, and he's my teammate."

In fact, McDede was caddying for Nelly Korda when his son was born

As fans may know, Jason McDede is the husband of Caroline Masson, another LPGA Tour golfer. And around April 2023, when they were expecting their son Benton, he was caddying for Korda when Masson felt strange weeks before the delivery date.

As it turned out, Masson had Benton and McDede was on the flight back. He recalled the event, "I'll never forget, I booked a flight direct back to Orlando, and I had just sent Nelly a picture of Benton, obviously born. This was on the plane, and she just wrote me back, ‘Congratulations! I hope you're on a plane, right?’"
