It was a DP World Tour debut to remember for former Good Good Golf member Brad Dalke. The American impressed in Munich and, after getting another taste of competitive golf, is now hoping it leads to more opportunities on the professional circuit.

Dalke struggled early in his professional career and eventually quit to pursue content creation. But at Golfclub München Eichenried, the 28-year-old felt right back at home.

“I would love it. I mean, it’s not my call, but if there are any sponsors out there who want to give me a chance, I would love to. It was such a fun week. I’ve played so much competitive golf in my life, but it’s been a while since I was in this kind of arena. Once I got into it, though, I felt right back at home and it’s fun,” said Dalke.

Dalke had previously missed the cut in both the Masters and U.S. Open, but he put himself in contention at the halfway stage of the BMW International Open before finishing tied for 30th in a commendable performance in Munich.

“It’s a constant grind out there, a constant battle trying to bring that swing from the range under pressure. It’s frustrating sometimes but very rewarding when you do well with it. I mean, what a week, and I’d love to play more,” he added, as reported by Bunkered.

Dalke’s frustration at Golfclub München Eichenried stemmed from the 11th hole. He played the par-5 in four-over-par after carding a triple bogey on Sunday.

Besides that, Dalke exceeded the expectations of the crowd, who were only familiar with his game on YouTube.

At the event, Dalke earlier explained how YouTube made him fall in love with the game again.

How YouTube became the turning point for Dalke

Dalke had a highly successful amateur career and was looking forward to an illustrious professional career. However, things didn’t work out for him.

At the start of his professional career, Dalke struggled with the driver yips, which heavily affected his performances. He ended up losing all tour status and also ran out of money.

"Getting YouTube kind of helped me learn how to have fun with it again. And I'll always be appreciative of that,” said Dalke at Golfclub München Eichenried in a video shared by DP World Tour on X.

Dalke started collaborating with Good Good Golf, a popular YouTube channel. In 2023, he signed a full-time contract with them, and that surged his earnings.

Last year, he won the PGA Tour's Creator Classic at East Lake and was also part of the winning team at the inaugural Internet Invitational.

Although Dalke quit Good Good Golf recently due to family health reasons, it cannot be denied that YouTube saved his career.
