One more shot. That’s what LIV marquee man Bryson DeChambeau wishes for his league. The two-time US Open winner has gone all out to save the rebel tour. The September 1 deadline looms.

The PIF’s withdrawal has left LIV in a financial crisis. With the golf world heavily questioning the value of LIV Golf and its players, DeChambeau pleads for open-mindedness.

"I hope people can see that we actually bring value to the game of golf, and my wish is that people give us one more shot and be open-minded,” said DeChambeau. “When you look at higher levels of LIV Golf, there are definitely players that would provide value to the tour and guys that I love competing against as well."

At the moment, LIV Golf is facing a race against time. Having found a new unnamed investor, the rebel tour needs to finalize the partnership by 1 September if they want to ensure their continuation.

DeChambeau has juggled his playing schedule with investor meetings, becoming LIV's de facto ambassador.

The two-time major winner highlighted the immense economic impact that LIV has brought about in various parts of the world.

“All the fans that have come out to these events and the economic impact we've made on all these places,” said DeChambeau, as per Bunkered's John Turnbull.

DeChambeau then pointed to the fans and the way LIV Golf’s events have made an impact in each city they visit.

“Whether that’s in South Africa, here in Indy, Australia, numerous places across the world, the UK, the different places we've been in the US – even Nashville, where we played a few years ago, was unbelievable,” DeChambeau added.

At the moment, DeChambeau is featuring at LIV Golf Indianapolis and is three strokes off the lead after the opening round. The 32-year-old wishes to continue the show with the rebel tour.

DeChambeau voiced his opinion on his opening round performance at The Club at Chatham Hills.

Bryson DeChambeau claims to be “a perfectionist”

On Thursday, Bryson DeChambeau stepped onto The Club at Chatham Hills with a lot on his mind. According to him, he delivered a good round.

“And when I get over a tee shot, and I hit the shot like I did on the last hole and then pulled the shot, and hit a fat, chunk shot wedge on a par-5 that’s a pretty easy birdie hole, it’s kind of disappointing,” DeChambeau said, as per HITC's Antony Martin. “But that’s the perfectionist in me, and that’s the competitor in me.”

DeChambeau finished the round at 5-under 65 but had some regrets over the last hole. The 32-year-old landed five birdies and is now three strokes off the leader, England's Laurie Canter.

A strong finish to the season will certainly be the thing DeChambeau will be looking forward to, besides the “LIV 2.0” goal.
