Jan 4, 2026, 7:09 PM CUT

When we look at the last five years in golf, two of the most talked-about players in the sport are Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.

Both moved from the PGA Tour to LIV Golf, where prize money and contracts changed the way earnings are counted. Yet, how do their earnings stack up, especially in major championships and overall golf earnings? Let’s break it down.

Career Earnings: A Quick Comparison

According to Spotrac, Brooks Koepka has earned around $97.3 million during his professional golf career across both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. This total includes his earnings in major championships, LIV Golf payouts, and PGA Tour prize money.

On the other hand, Bryson DeChambeau’s total career earnings as of early 2025 are about $91.16 million. His earnings also come from PGA Tour events, majors, and LIV Golf payouts.

So purely by the numbers, Koepka has earned significantly more in total golf prize money than DeChambeau over the course of their careers so far.

Major Championships: Who Earned More?

When we focus specifically on major earnings, Koepka again leads. According to Spotrac, Koepka has collected about $21.38 million from majors throughout his career. This is the result of winning five major championships, including multiple U.S. Opens and PGA Championships, plus high payouts for his top finishes.

According to Spotrac, DeChambeau’s major earnings are approximately $14.1 million, and he has won two U.S. Opens, posting strong Major finishes. However, his Majors prize money still trails Koepka’s total.

Impact of LIV Golf on DeChambeau and Koepka

Both players shifted to LIV Golf around 2022, and LIV's large purses and team bonuses boosted their incomes. Koepka earned about $46 million from LIV Golf, while DeChambeau earned about $47 million from the league.

In simple terms, Koepka not only made more money from majors but also earned more overall when combining PGA and LIV earnings. DeChambeau has still done very well, but not at Koepka’s level in total prize money.
