Bubba Watson is preparing for big moves in LIV Golf, but let's not forget that Watson had a prominent PGA career before LIV.
Having joined the Saudi-backed league in 2022 as a non-playing captain for the then-named Niblicks GC, it's time to see just how lucrative has LIV Golf been for Watson.
Bubba Watson’s PGA Tour earnings from 2002 to 2022
Watson won the Masters Tournament in 2012 in a sudden-death playoff against Louis Oosthuizen on the second extra hole and earned $4,644,997 in official prize money. He followed that up with another Master's win in 2014.
Across his PGA TOUR career, Watson recorded 12 wins and reached second place in the Official World Golf Ranking in February 2015.
He won the Travelers Championship in 2010, 2015, and 2018, and added two World Golf Championships titles at the WGC-HSBC Champions in 2014 and the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in 2018.
In 2006, during his rookie season, he led the PGA TOUR in driving-distance average at 319.6 yards.
Across 17 seasons on the PGA TOUR, Watson earned $48,385,778 in official career prize money.
What is the difference between Bubba Watson's PGA Tour career earnings and his LIV earnings
While Watson has not recorded a win in LIV Golf, his best finish to date is a second-place result at LIV Golf UK in July 2025. He has two top-five finishes, including fourth place at LIV Golf Virginia in June 2025 and second place at LIV Golf UK in July 2025. Across the three seasons, Watson has recorded a total of five top-10 finishes.
According to National Golf, Bubba Watson has earned more than $13.6 million in prize money from LIV Golf tournaments as of August 2025. This amount does not include his reported signing bonus, estimated at $50 million, for joining the league in 2022.
