Two tours, one field, and no excuses. For the first time, the Aramco Championship in Las Vegas became a joint LPGA and LET event, and earned positive reactions from LPGA stars Charley Hull and Jeeno Thitikul.

It has brought all the top 20 players in the world to Shadow Creek, including world No. 1 Thitikul and world No. 4 Hull. Both the noted women's golfers appeared before the media ahead of the tournament on April 1, and both had plenty to say about what this week actually represents for women's golf.

Charley Hull, who won the PIF Saudi Ladies International back in February, cut straight to it. "It's a great opportunity for the LET girls coming over here and playing," Hull said. "I just think it's good for everyone."

Thitikul made it personal, as she built her career on the LET before crossing over to the LPGA, and this week dropped her back among players she hasn't seen in years.

"Seeing similar faces, similar friends that I haven't seen for a long time, it's just reminding me of some good days, good memories," Thitikul said. "I'd like to see more tournaments like this."

That feeling is important, and players from the LET don’t often get a chance to play in a full, top-level field. This week removes that barrier completely.

Both Players View Shadow Creek as the Ultimate Major Warm-Up

Besides welcoming the Aramco Championship's transition to a joint LPGA and LET event, Hull and Thitikul agreed on another point. Both admitted that Shadow Creek was a thoroughly challenging course.

Hull called it one of her favorite courses on Tour. She stated, "It’s the kind of course where bad iron shots get punished, and tee shots need careful planning, not just power." On the other hand, Thitikul highlighted the range of feelings the course can subject a golfer to.

"Every part of this golf course can give you a smile, but at a different part you can be so frustrated," she said. "It's testing everything physically and mentally."

With the major season closing in, a week at Shadow Creek sharpens exactly what the big events will demand: precision, patience, and the ability to manufacture shots when nothing comes easy.

Hull enjoys playing on courses like this. Based on her form this year, that could be a problem for the rest of the players. But Thitikul's ranking says that she can never be taken lightly.
