World No. 4 Charley Hull had another runner-up finish at the U.S. Women's Open earlier this month. However, that has not stopped her from being in good spirits.

With the KPMG Women's PGA Championship scheduled for June 25-28, Hull made a trip home to England and attended the prestigious Royal Ascot event in Berkshire before turning her attention to the year's third major.

Hull was present at Britain's Royal Ascot near Windsor Castle and wore a striking white hat.

Royal Ascot is Britain's most prestigious five-day horse racing festival and a pinnacle of the British summer social calendar, attended annually by the King and Queen since its founding by Queen Anne in 1711.

Last year, Hull attended a royal Windsor Castle banquet during U.S. President Donald Trump's second state visit to Great Britain.

Hull is a frequent commuter between the U.S. and the U.K. as she does not own a place in the U.S., where most LPGA Tour events are held. As a result, she does more transatlantic travel than most.

Charley Hull's run of form

Hull's season has been an almost equal mix of good performances and missed cuts.

In her latest appearance at the U.S. Women's Open, Hull came away with her best performance of the season. With a 7-under-par score, Hull finished tied for second at Riviera, just one stroke behind World No. 1 Nelly Korda.

The runner-up finish was Hull's best result of the season.

The 30-year-old's second-best finish has been a T10. She secured that position at two events, the Chevron Championship and HSBC Women's World Championship.

At the Aramco Championship in April, Hull recorded a 5-over-par score and finished tied for 15th. Another decent performance came at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where she ended up T17.

However, she has missed cuts at three events: the Ford Championship, the Mizuho Americas Open, and the ShopRite LPGA.

Hull will look to carry the momentum from her runner-up finish at the U.S. Women's Open into the KPMG Women's PGA Championship as she continues her pursuit of a maiden major title.
