"Can Walk Into a Pub by Myself": Charley Hull Once Made a Blunt Admission About Her Personality

Charley Hull doesn’t need a big crowd to feel confident. She’s always been comfortable on her own, no matter how many people are watching.
In a podcast interview with the LPGA, she spoke honestly about who she is when she is not playing golf.
"I'm one of these people, I like my own company, like it doesn't bother me. Independent, that's the word. I'm very independent," she said. "I can walk into a pub by myself, not knowing if I know anyone in there, and I'll be completely fine."
She also said she likes going to the movies alone and eating out by herself. Hull chooses to do it because she enjoys her own company and feels comfortable on her own.
"I actually sometimes enjoy going for dinner by myself," Hull added, "'cuz I don't have to talk and I can just eat and enjoy my food."
Most of the time, Hull is surrounded by cameras and huge crowds. Yet, what’s truly impressive is that she’s completely comfortable on her own. This shows that her confidence doesn’t depend on anyone else.
That independence is likely the reason she remains calm under pressure. It allows her to perform at her best and play exceptionally well, even in the most demanding situations.
Charley Hull Makes History With Career-High World No. 3 Ranking
Honestly, the independence that Charley Hull talked about on the podcast? It totally showed in Riyadh.
Hull was three shots behind going into the final round of the PIF Saudi Ladies International, and then she just went off. She shot a 65 on Sunday and won by one, just like that.
That win pushed her from world No. 5 to No. 3 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. Interestingly, it's the highest an English woman has ever been in history.
Now she’s only behind Jeeno Thitikul and Nelly Korda in the world rankings. With Lottie Woad at No. 8, it’s the first time two English women are in the top 10 at the same time.
Honestly, it fits her. The way Hull plays and the way she is as a person are the same. She trusts herself, shuts out the noise, and shows up when it really matters.
Charley Hull is playing some of the best golf of her career right now. Did it surprise you when she openly said she enjoys doing things alone? Share your thoughts below.
