Two of the biggest in women's golf are chasing trophies in the season-ending match together, where they finished tied in the first round of the Grant Thornton Invitational 2025. But while the leaderboard showed parity, the earnings did not.
As of December 14, the conversation around Charley Hull and Lexi Thompson has shifted from scorecards to balance sheets.
Charley Hull’s 2025 Earnings
Across 16 starts, Hull made 14 cuts, posted four top-10s, Hull season built gradually through consistent results before producing her first victory of 2025 at the Kroger Queen City Championship, earning $300,000.
Her biggest check came at the AIG Women’s Open, where a T2 finish paid $772,391. While adding a T12 at the U.S. Women’s Open ($229,198) and another T12 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship ($170,561), Hull consistently stayed inside the high-paying list.

By season’s end, Hull’s official LPGA earnings reached $2.0 million, placing her comfortably among the year’s top earners.
Lexi Thompson’s 2025 Earnings
Thompson’s year followed a different swing. Her best result came at the Meijer LPGA Classic, where a T4 finish brought in $126,461. She matched Hull’s T12 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, earning $170,561, and added $104,783 for a T14 at The Chevron Championship.

Apart from her strong finishes, Thompson missed cuts at the U.S. Women’s Open, JM Eagle LA Championship, and ANNIKA at Pelican, which resulted in no prize money.
Thompson closed the season T19 at the CME Group Tour Championship for $78,071, finishing the year with $567,633 in total earnings.
Charley Hull vs Lexi Thompson, who topped Golf’s Rich List?
Hull clearly out-earned Thompson by roughly $1.43 million, through her game, late-season execution, with high finishes in majors and late-season events, including the AIG Women’s Open and U.S. Women’s Open, which accounted for the bulk of her earnings.
