Nelly Korda’s win at Memorial Park added several records to her name and moved her closer to the LPGA Hall of Fame.
Korda led from start to finish, winning her third major and 17th LPGA Tour title. She finished five shots ahead of Patty Tavatanakit of Thailand and Ruoning Yin of China.
With the win, the World No. 1 earned two points toward the Hall of Fame, taking her points tally to 22. She now is only five points away to automatically be qualified for one of the most esteemed halls of fame.

As of now, only 35 women are a part of the LPGA Hall of Fame. The most recent addition was New Zealand’s Lydia Ko. She was added after securing her 27th point, winning gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Korda added nine points to her tally in 2024 when she won seven times in the season, including the Chevron Championship. She also won the Rolex Player of the Year award for her impressive season-long performance.
Prior to that, she had acquired 10 points by winning gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and eight titles, including a major at the 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club.
The season-opening win at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club took Korda’s Hall of Fame points total to 20.
Records Made By Korda At Memorial Park
Korda opened with a 65 and 65 to set a new 36-hole scoring record at Memorial Park. She became the first American to win three majors in her career since Meg Mallon in 2000.
Korda joined Juli Inkster (1989) and Amy Alcott (1991), both at the Nabisco Dinah Shore, as the only players in the past 50 years to win an LPGA major while leading by multiple shots after every round.
Moreover, her win by five strokes was the largest in this major in 18 years. She became one of the few American women to win her third major title before the age of 28, and the second athlete in the 2020 era to win three majors, alongside Australian Minjee Lee.
The dominant performance led Korda to the top of the world rankings. In the remainder of the season, Korda will certainly look to add to her trophy cabinet and eventually get inducted into the Hall of Fame.
