Chris Gotterup has won three times in the 2026 season. And just those three wins have been enough to ensure he has already earned more prize money this year than he made in his entire career before it.
Gotterup won the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, on Sunday, July 5, collecting $1,584,000. According to the PGA Tour's official player profile, Gotterup has earned $14,002,749 in his career, having played 85 PGA Tour events since joining the Tour in 2024.
Winnings from his 2026 victories at the Sony Open in Hawaii, the WM Phoenix Open, and the John Deere Classic have earned him nearly $5 million, and his total earnings for the year are over $7.4 million, which is more than he made in all his previous seasons combined.

Before the 2026 season, per the PGA Tour's website, Gotterup had earned about $6.6 million in his PGA Tour career. That included his wins at the Myrtle Beach Classic in 2024 and the Genesis Scottish Open in 2025.
At the John Deere Classic, he made up a five-shot deficit. Eventually, Ben Kohles' heartbreak, which involved him getting a double bogey from the 18th Fairway, gave the cup to Gotterup.
He is now one of only two players, along with Matt Fitzpatrick, to win three individual PGA Tour events this season.
Gotterup has won five PGA Tour titles in only 85 career starts. His best FedExCup finish was 10th place in 2025. After his win in Silvis on Sunday, he is now sixth in the current FedExCup standings.
Chris Gotterup's career numbers read like a player entering his prime
In 85 tournaments, Chris Gotterup has made the cut 58 times. He also has 12 top-10 finishes and seven top-five finishes.
His lowest round is a 61, which he shot at the Renaissance Club during the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open. He has also finished second twice and third once. Along with that, his 12 top-10 finishes only show that he cannot be ruled out of contention on any given day.
Moreover, he has finished in the top 25 a total of 29 times, which means he has done it in more than one out of every three tournaments. He has also completed every event except one, where he withdrew.
Gotterup will defend his Genesis Scottish Open title at the Renaissance Club next week. The Open Championship will be played the week after that.
