Gotterup got off to a strong start. At the season-opening Sony Open in Hawaii, he finished on top by two strokes over his compatriot, Ryan Gerard. He came away with roughly $1.64 million from the event.
Gotterup’s other win this season at the WM Phoenix Open also caused a massive surge in his earnings. The 26-year-old won the most through this tournament, with about $1.73 million. It was a hard-fought win as he defeated World No. 15 Hideki Matsuyama in a playoff.
Besides the two wins, Gotterup tied for sixth at the Texas Children's Houston Open and added close to $323,000 to his bank account.
Moreover, his two T18 finishes at the Farmers Insurance Open and Arnold Palmer Invitational also added considerably to his earnings, with a total of nearly $393,000.
At Augusta National and Hilton Head, Gotterup was never in contention for the titles. However, his T24 and T25 finishes, respectively, added just over $300,000 more to his wealth.
As it stands, Gotterup has earned approximately $11.1 million in his career. Gotterup remains in prime position to increase his career earnings and chase a maiden major title.
Gotterup’s Record At Majors
Gotterup is yet to secure his first major. However, he did come close at the 2025 Open Championship.
At Royal Portrush, the 26-year-old finished third. Finishing the tournament at 12-under-par, he ended up being five shots behind the champion, Scottie Scheffler.
Out of his five major appearances, Gotterup has made the cut in four of them. His first appearance at Augusta this year resulted in a T24 finish.
Due to his strong run of form, Gotterup is among the favorites to win the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club from May 14.
