Dewi Weber opens up about how expecting a baby with her wife changed her priorities

Dewi Weber has yet to win on the LPGA Tour, but with her first child due in December, golf is no longer the only thing shaping her outlook this season.
Weber and her partner, Jen, will become parents later this year, and at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, she shared how the upcoming life change has altered her perspective on the game.
“Yeah, it's changed my perspective slightly. I think if anything, I've put a bit more pressure on myself as well. But, yeah, no, I'm super excited that we're going to -- Jen and I are going to be parents in December,” said Weber.

Being a mom and competing on Tour presents a different challenge, but Weber seems to welcome that opportunity with open arms, as she said in an interview (accessed via ASAP Sports).
Roughly 15 moms currently feature on the LPGA Tour, including players such as Jessica Korda, Stacy Lewis, and Ally Ewing, many of whom have spoken about balancing parenthood with the demands of professional golf.
“If I'm going to be away from my family I better make sure that I'm having a ton of fun and having a good time and doing all the things of why I'm out here necessarily, and not being miserable on the course and punishing myself for every bad shot that I hit or every slight loss of focus that I'm having,” she added.
The 30-year-old is yet to pick up her first professional title. Maybe the change in mindset will be the last piece of the puzzle for Weber.
Like many mothers on the LPGA Tour, Weber will soon have to balance family life with the demands of professional golf, a challenge Sweden's Madelene Sagstrom recently highlighted by competing while pregnant.

Madelene Sagstrom made headlines at Riviera. She featured at the U.S. Women’s Open while seven months pregnant.
“For me, golf is all I’ve ever done, and it’s my job. So it was natural. If I feel good, just keep trying to play. But it’s so lovely. It’s nice that people are understanding that it’s not easy, and everyone’s been super supportive,” Sagstrom said at Riviera, as per Reuters.
Sagstrom had planned to feature at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, but after a T9 finish at the Dow Championship, she took much-needed maternity leave.
The Dow Championship was the seventh event in which Sagstrom featured while pregnant.
