"Don't Want to Bother You": When Nelly Korda Had a Fan-Girl Moment with Tiger Woods

Even the best in the world have their moments of awe, and Nelly Korda proved that legends can still feel starstruck.

During a simple, fan-girl moment at the 2021 PNC Championship, the LPGA star showed a side less known to the fans. Nelly Korda went straight up to Tiger Woods, and with some hesitation, like any other fan, she asked, “I was wondering if we could get a picture.” And Tiger’s reaction?

Well, he said yes. Though Korda wasn't looking at ease, and asked someone to get the picture clicked. She asked politely, “I don’t want to bother you right now, but I really wanted a photo.” As Tiger could be seen adjusting his equipment in the video clip.

And the excitement was evident on her face, as shown in the clip uploaded by the PGA Tour on YouTube. And Korda kind of screamed, “Ahh, so cool, dream come true,” with childish excitement, and thanked Tiger and the person who clicked the photo.

Fan moments are often seen on the course, but such a sweet gesture between players shows how they respect and admire their seniors or fellow golfers. There are more such stories, like Kai Trump had a fangirl moment with one of her favorites.

Kai Trump Once Had a Fan Girl Moment with Bryson DeChambeau

“Bryson and Elon Musk, oh my God!” Kai Trump once jumped out of excitement when she spotted him unexpectedly. It was an honest reaction, the kind that comes naturally when excitement takes over.

And then, Bryson jumped straight into the moment with a light joke of his own. “I’ll design a rocket-ship golf club for you,” he told Kai.

The exchange did not stop there. Kai played along, smiling as he added, “Just a tad. 320 coming your way.” Bryson responded without missing a beat. “Just for you.” The back-and-forth felt easy, relaxed, and unscripted.

Such lighthearted moments certainly carry the spirit of the sport! Meanwhile, we want to know your fan moments! Share with us in the comments.
