A team made up of engineers and experienced professionals from the golf industry will lead the venture, focusing on how technology and design can translate to measurable results on the course.

In practical terms, McLaren Golf aims to rethink how equipment is built and manufactured. The goal is to give players greater precision by using methods shaped by years of work in high-performance environments

That shift moves from announcement to action on April 29, when McLaren will officially launch McLaren Golf and introduce its first line of products, marking the company’s entry into a new segment.

With the launch date now set, attention quickly shifted to what those first products might cost, and fans wasted no time asking whether a driver might come with a supercar price tag.

With the first products set to arrive on April 29, conversations have already picked up online. There has been no official word on pricing, but that has not stopped golf fans from speculating about what McLaren’s entry into the sport could cost.

Some began by questioning whether the equipment would be within reach for most players: “I bet the equipment will be unaffordable for your average golfer.”

The comment reflects a broader concern that the brand’s association with high-end cars could carry over into golf.

Others took the discussion further, hinting at five-figure territory. “What are we thinking, a whole new meaning to 10K?”

The reference suggests fans expect numbers that go well beyond the typical price of a driver currently on the market.
