Linn Grant admitted that she's on a rough patch ahead of the Riviera Maya Open. The Swedish star is seeking a rhythm reset at El Camaleón following four consecutive early exits on the LPGA Tour.

“Depends on the day. Right now, golf is not my friend. We're having a bit of a battle, which is fine. I think that's part of being a professional athlete,” Grant said during media interaction at Riviera Maya Open on Tuesday.

"Right now I'm trying to find a good balance between what I enjoy on and off the golf course and what I enjoy with golf," Linn Grant told the media.

Linn Grant’s 2026 season started on the right foot. In her first four LPGA starts, she made three cuts and finished T10 at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore.

However, she missed cuts at the Fortinet Founders Cup, Ford Championship, withdrew from the Aramco Championship, and then exited early at the Chevron Championship.

The 26-year-old arrives at the Mexico Riviera Maya Open at No. 28 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, with $91,052 in earnings through seven starts and a scoring average of 71.44.

Linn Grant reveals her mindset ahead of Riviera Maya

Linn Grant returns to El Camaleón tomorrow for the Riviera Maya Open, where she opened with a T4 finish in 2025 and now continues her 2026 campaign looking to build on that form.

“Really trying to find my place with it, I think,” Grant said during the interaction. Grant also explained that having her boyfriend as her caddie helps her confidence.

The LPGA returns to El Camaleón Golf Course for the second edition of the $2.3 million Mexico Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba, which runs from April 30 to May 3.

The field around Linn Grant includes Nelly Korda, who starts the week after her Chevron Championship win, alongside Lydia Ko, defending champion Chisato Iwai, Akie Iwai, and more.

Mexico is also represented in the field by Gaby López, Maria Fassi, Isabella Fierro, and Clarisa Temelo.
