Jack Floydd's week at the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge took an unexpected turn after the second round. What seemed like the end of his tournament quickly became a race to get back to France.

After the first two rounds, Floydd believed he hadn’t done enough to be inside the cut line. As a result, he headed out early to his home in England. His decision turned out to be a bit premature.

"It's been very eventful. Thought I missed the cut yesterday afternoon. Travelled back to England. Got to the Channel Tunnel and did a U-turn as soon as I got back and straight back to the course," said Floydd in a post shared by him on Instagram.

Floydd’s rounds of 70 and 74 saw him at level par at the halfway stage. The cut line fell at level par, putting him exactly on the number to make it into the weekend.

A late run of scores elsewhere moved Floydd inside the cut line, but by then he was already on the train and had to complete his journey to England before turning around and heading straight back to France.

"I got here about 1am last night and teed it up this morning. Fortunately, the hotel I was staying at and checked out of had rooms available, so I went straight back and checked back in," he added, as shown on the Instagram post.

Despite the unexpected travel saga, Floydd still had a tournament to play on Saturday.

Floydd made his 8:29 a.m. tee time on Saturday and looked determined to do well on Moving Day.

The Englishman posted a score of 1-over-par 73 on Saturday. He struggled on the front nine, carding two double bogeys, two bogeys, and two birdies, as recorded on the leaderboard.

Despite the hectic journey, Floydd recovered from a slow start with three back-nine birdies to card a 1-over 73, leaving him tied for 59th heading into the final round.
