The third edition of the Grant Thornton Invitational concluded successfully on December 14, giving golf fans another competitive week to enjoy. The tournament was held at the Tiburon Golf Club and featured 16 paired PGA Tour stars and 16 LPGA stars.

Andrew Novak and Lauren Coughlin emerged as winners and earned $1 million in prize money, i.e., half a million each. The tournament opened with a scramble format, and then on the second day, shifted to 18 holes of foursomes.

The event wrapped up on the third day with a modified four-ball. The duo, Novak and Coughlin, managed to win with a score of 188 / -28.

Nelly Korda/Denny McCarthy, Jennifer Kupcho/Chris Gotterup, and Charley Hull/Michael Brennan finished at the T2 position, each earning $380,000 per team. The T5 position duos, Rose Zhang/Michael Kim and Brooke Henderson/Corey Conners, who tied for fifth, earned $202,500 per team.

Every player who has participated in the Grant Thornton Invitational took the money home as per their score.

The lowest?

Well, four duos end up at T13 with $127,500 earnings per team. The teams tied at 13th position are Jessica Korda/Bud Cauley, Megan Khang/Keith Mitchell, Lilia Vu/Tony Finau, and Lydia Ko/Jason Day.

The prize money criteria were based on final scores and the positions in which teams tied.

Scores and Earnings of Other Pairs

As mentioned earlier, the winners, Novak and Coughlin, scored 188 / -28. The duo won with three straight birdies by Novak on the back nine, and 9-under 63 with a birdie by Coughlin.

Then three runner-ups, who tied for T2, ended up with 191 / -25, and Nelly Korda/Denny McCarthy is one of them. Two teams ended up at T5 and T7. The next place was taken by Patty Tavatanakit and Jake Knapp, along with a score of 195/-21, and the pair took $80k each.
