“He Yelled Ball Really Loud”: Alison Lee Shares Hilarious Story About Son’s On-Course Distraction

As LPGA pro Alison Lee played the final hole at Riviera on Friday, she spotted her son Levi in the crowd and recalled an earlier incident that explained why he was brought out so late to the course.

In a video shared by the LPGA on X on June 6, Alison Lee explained why she and her partner, Trey, prefer not to bring Levi to the course too often despite fans' interest.

“They didn't bring him out to until 18 because he can be a little loud. Sometimes I think at Chevron, Trey brought him out on like my 14th hole, and literally in the middle of my back swing. He yelled ball really loud and thankfully it was during my swing and not any of the other girls,” said Lee.

“So it was okay and it's a tough course to walk, so it was really nice that they were able to bring him out for the last hole,” she added.

After Levi’s “ball” outburst at last month’s Chevron Championship, Lee and Trey opted to bring him out late at Riviera, where he again yelled the word after her approach on the final hole Friday.

“I always love seeing him out there and I think he loves being outside. He loves golf too. I mean anytime he sees a golf club or a ball. He tries to whack it and he's already doing all that, which is really cool to see,” said Lee.

The 'supermom' was also seen carrying Levi up the famous Riviera staircase before handing him over to Trey during her post-match interview.

The 31-year-old is still searching for her first LPGA Tour victory and currently shares the lead heading into the weekend.

Chasing Her First Win: Lee Tied for Lead at U.S. Women's Open

Lee and LPGA pro Ruoning Yin both sit at 4-under par 138 and share the lead at the 81st U.S. Women's Open.

"I'm not going to lie, it's been very tough," Lee said.

"I've gone through a few stages, a few slumps, if you want to call it, in my career, even since I was like 15 years old. ... no matter what I did, no matter how much I practiced, it just wasn't going my way."

Despite joining the LPGA Tour in 2015 following an incredible amateur career and becoming a two-time Solheim Cup participant, Lee is still searching for her breakthrough victory.

"I feel like I've definitely underachieved what I could have done out here on tour," Lee added.

Having finished in the top-10 just twice at majors, Lee will be determined to come out on top at Riviera and secure her first LPGA win.
