Paige Spiranac has faced backlash for her content for years. Her parents have never been among the critics, and her mother's background explains exactly why.
Spiranac, the golf influencer and content creator with millions of followers across Instagram, X, and TikTok, posted a birthday photo for her mother, Annette Spiranac, on July 26, 2026, writing: "It's my mom's birthday today! Everyone wish her a happy birthday馃挄." The post drew significant attention, as Spiranac's posts typically do.
But the more revealing detail was what Spiranac has previously said about her parents' reaction to her content.
"They're really proud," Spiranac said. "(My content) has never really been an issue for my parents. My mom was a model; she did lingerie and bikini shoots. My dad was dating my mom while she was working, and they see it as work."

The family connection goes deeper than passive support. "My mom is highly involved in my content," Spiranac said. "She shoots a lot of my pictures. She shot my calendar."
Annette's background as a former bikini and lingerie model means she has a firsthand understanding of the industry. Spiranac said her parents see her content as work, per The Spun on July 26.
The birthday post on July 26 was one of her returns to social media after the break. Spiranac had faced backlash over her content and her behaviour at The Internet Invitational earlier this year, which led to a social media break.
Spiranac opened up about the struggle in a candid post, per The Spun on July 26. "I am in a bit of a funk, a rut if you will," she said. "I feel like I've just been so in my head about everything, and I'm just trying to work through it."

She addressed the absence directly. "I think that's why I haven't been posting as much because I am just overthinking everything and I just feel like my anxiety has taken control," Spiranac said, per The Spun.
She admitted that returning to social media has been difficult, but said she is working on it. She explained that she is trying to push herself to post more often and get back to being as active online as she was before.
