Fathers will receive free admission to the Meijer LPGA Classic on Father's Day, making one of the LPGA Tour's most family-friendly events even more accessible this year.
Taking place at Blythefield Country Club, the tournament is also offering free entry for children 17 and under with a ticketed adult as part of its family-focused experience.
“Every dad gets in free (on Father’s Day),” said Cathy Cooper, executive director of the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. “Bring your kids, they get in free, too. We really want to make it a special day for them.”
All fathers are welcome to the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give and will receive a complimentary general admission grounds ticket on Sunday.
The tournament is designed for all-ages fun. As in previous years, children ages 17 and under get into the tournament free with a ticketed adult.
"Meijer is a family-owned company, so creating meaningful experiences for families is a key part of this event's legacy," said Cathy Cooper, Executive Director of the Meijer LPGA Classic. "From kid-friendly activities and comfortable family care spaces to affordable food options throughout the course, we want guests of all ages to enjoy a fun, welcoming, and memorable weekend."
The event will also include the free, popular open-air kids destination, Discovery Land. It's a place filled with kid-friendly activities like face painting and outdoor lawn games such as mini golf and cornhole.
Family Care Areas, a common sight at the event, will be present, consisting of air-conditioned tents featuring locking rooms with lactation and diaper-changing stations.
Interestingly, the Meijer LPGA Classic was the first tournament on the LPGA Tour to add specific rooms for lactation use and diaper changing on the golf course in 2019.
On top of that, concessions will be offered at an all-time low price, with the highest-priced item listed at $4. Most items cost just $1.
As a result, it’s quite clear why some families keep coming back to this event year after year, as it provides one of the best experiences for enjoying the sport.
Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give full prize money payout 2026
The event is placed right in the middle of two majors and serves as an important site of preparation for many golfers.
The total purse was increased from last year's $3 million to $3.25 million this year.
The winner is set to take home close to $500,000 for the victory. The runner-up will receive more than $300,000.
The top six will secure more than $100,000 from the tournament, with upwards of $7,500 awarded to all 66 players who made the cut.
