Jeeno Thitikul returned to the World No. 1 position in August 2025 and has held the ranking since then, and now she's more confident than ever.
During the Honda LPGA Thailand press conference, Thitikul was asked about her past finishes, including a runner-up result and two third-place finishes, and whether this could finally be her year to win.
She reflected on returning to the event as World No. 1 and playing in front of her home fans, saying, "I would say I already think this is my year to, you know, play in front of them as the world No. 1. I think it's already answer the questions of me doing it out there."
"But talk about the result... I don't know who is going to be. Like, sometime I just can control myself, but I can't control any other else. I will say I give it my best, and hopefully it's my year," Jeeno Thitikul added during the press conference.

The 2025 Buick LPGA Shanghai winner returns to the Honda LPGA Thailand with past close finishes and now arrives as World No. 1, placing her at the center of attention in front of her home crowd, and for good reason.
She won the 2025 CME Group Tour Championship and, as a result, recorded the lowest scoring average in LPGA history at 68.681, setting a new single-season record. If she can replicate something even close to that performance, then she shouldn't have trouble securing the title in Thailand.
Jeeno Thitikul’s history at the Honda LPGA Thailand
Jeeno Thitikul’s connection with the Honda LPGA Thailand dates back to 2017, when she made her debut as a 14-year-old amateur.
After turning professional and joining the LPGA Tour, she returned in 2022 and finished tied for eighth during her rookie season.
She continued to improve her results in the following years. In 2023, she finished third, and she repeated that result in 2025, which included a second-round score of 64.
However, her closest opportunity came earlier in 2021, when she finished second after holding the lead late in the final round while competing on a sponsor exemption.
Now, heading into the 2026 edition scheduled from February 19–22, Jeeno Thitikul stands as the betting favorite and is aiming to join Ariya Jutanugarn and Patty Tavatanakit as the next Thai winner of the event.
