“I Didn’t Know”: Bryson DeChambeau Describes Moment That Left Everyone Guessing

Bryson DeChambeau has seen his golf ball end up in some strange places. But the final round at this year's LIV Golf Singapore might be the most bizarre yet. The golfer revealed he didn't even know where the ball went after a wild mis-hit.

The two-time major winner was in contention when an unusual moment occurred on the fifth hole. He explained the sequence during the LIV Golf South Africa press conference on Tuesday.

"I don't know if it's crazier than the two hole-in-ones with G-Mac back-to-back weeks, but on the fifth hole... I hit the exact same drive within one inch of the spot. And I was standing on the side of the bunker, and I was almost baseball swinging it," said the 32-year-old.

The moment unfolded during the final round at LIV Golf Singapore as Bryson DeChambeau was in contention at Sentosa Golf Club. While attempting the shot again, he lost balance and mis-hit the ball, sending it left without knowing where it had gone.

Soon after, it was found that the ball had struck an umbrella and ended up lodged between a spectator’s chest and the bag.

Despite the incident and an earlier slip in the bunker during the same event, he continued the round and later secured the win in a playoff against Richard T. Lee.

Bryson DeChambeau points to an unusual pattern

"I mean, that's not normal. I haven't seen that happen. I've seen a lot of crazy things happen. I hit one in the back of a golf cart on 3 in Hong Kong, the first round," said the LIV Golf Singapore winner.

"I pushed it a little right, and it went in the back of a cart. How did it end up there? My ball has been in some weird places lately," he added during the press conference.

Regardless of the incident, his results this season have remained steady so far. DeChambeau recorded his first individual win of the season at LIV Golf Singapore on March 15.

As captain of Crushers GC, he has played all four events so far, recording one win and another top-five finish. How do you think he will fare at LIV Golf's inaugural event in South Africa starting on March 19?
