Megan Khang recently appeared on The Scoop and talked about her encounters with tigers, Solheim bets, and also revealed her spicy golf hot takes.

In the conversation with Claire Rogers, the 2023 Canadian Women’s Open Champion, revealed what it was like to be from Massachusetts, where the weather hadn’t been that kind. Khang stated that she did snowboarding in winter.

“A lot of people ask me what do you do in winter? And I just say like I snowboard. So yeah, I still go snowboarding. I finally bought a helmet last year,” she said on Scoop. “One year I went to the ski shop on this snowboard I really like. Didn’t know how good a board it was. I bought bindings, boots, and everything.”

Khang further added that she usually starts training just before the new season. “Come close to the season start, I’ll head down to Florida. It’s like warmer weather. Get used to hitting off grass skin so I don’t like chunk every shot,” she said.

Snowboarding as an activity can be dangerous, especially for an athlete who can’t afford to get injured. However, that hasn’t stopped Khang from winning trophies. She has appeared in four Solheim Cups in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024 as ‌part of the U.S. national team.

Megan Khang reveals her favorite Solheim Cup moment

In the same interview with Claire Rogers on The Scoop, Megan Khang talks about the unforgettable Solheim Cup win and some of the most memorable moments in her career.

The 28-year-old star named last year’s Solheim Cup win at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club as her favorite. Khang recalled the match that she had played with Alison Lee.

“Honestly, the match that I played with Alison Lee is probably like the most memorable one. I mean from the second hole, her holing out, the shirts off, tarps are off, it was hilarious. We just made that bet on T-box, and it just happened five minutes later.”

Khang also talked about the shot fell in dramatically. “Nordqvist had made her birdie already. So like we knew we had to make it. So like the fact that it hung on the edge and the tiger effect like it just fell over, It was incredible,” she said.

She won three games in the competition and was an important contributor to Team U.S.A’s first Solheim Cup win over Team Europe since 2017.
