Mother’s Day on the LPGA Tour actually feels a little different this time, very real and heartfelt.

On May 10, the LPGA shared a video on X with messages from six players. They recorded these messages for their mothers and babies to celebrate Mother’s Day.

The golfers seen in the video were Cassie Porter, Gurleen Kaur, Gemma Dryburgh, Ashleigh Buhai, Lizette Salas, and Andrea Lee, each of whom shared something personal and meaningful.

The messages highlighted the personal sacrifices players make throughout the season.

These players spend most of the year traveling. They often miss birthdays and spend holidays in hotel rooms. Mother’s Day is just another day on the tour schedule, and that feeling can be quietly heard in every message in the video.

Some players spoke to their mothers. One player spoke to her son. Their roles were different, but the feelings were the same. Six players shared six special messages, and each one was worth hearing.

LPGA Players Leave Messages on Mother's Day and Here's What They Said

Porter went first. "Happy Mother's Day. I just want to say thank you so much for all your love and support. It means the world to me, and I really couldn't do this life without you," she said. "I can't wait to see you and give you a big hug."

Kaur followed. "Happy Mother's Day, Mom. I love you so much. Thank you for everything that you've done for me."

Dryburgh took a different approach by recording her Mother's Day message for her son, Léo, sharing how much he changed her life for the better and how excited she is to watch him grow up, while also hoping golf becomes one of his interests someday.

Buhai kept hers warm and personal, thanking her mother for her love and support while making clear how much she wished she could be there to celebrate in person.

Then came Salas, who acknowledged both American and Mexican Mother's Day while thanking her mother for shaping the woman she became and teaching her to fight through life every day.

She also shared a simple hope. One day, she wants to be the kind of mother her own mom has been to her.

Lee ended the video by saying it was hard to miss Mother's Day and her mother's birthday, which comes right after. She then shared a message that made the moment even more special.

"Thank you for cooking for me and still doing my laundry when I come home," Lee said. "I'll never take it for granted. I love you."

These LPGA players could not be at home for Mother's Day, but their messages reminded everyone why being away from family is never easy.

Several players featured in the video are set to compete next week at the Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati, Ohio.
