A bittersweet memory still hits hard for Nelly Korda.
Nelly Korda was asked about her favorite course in Indianapolis, and in response, she shared her answer.
Two-time major champion Nelly Korda revealed the golf course that made her emotional during an interview with ASAP Sports on January 29. It was a place in Indianapolis that she truly called her 'heart.'
“My favorite course in Indianapolis was Wolf Run. I shed tears when they shut it down. There was no course like that.” Wolf Run Golf Club was an 18-hole golf course designed by Steve Smyers.
It was located in Zionsville, north of Indianapolis. Over time, it became known for its layout and terrain. The course operated until around 2017–2018.

Wolf Run Golf Club was mainly used for amateur and collegiate competition rather than professional tour events.
Over the years, it hosted several NCAA-sanctioned tournaments, including the Wolf Run Intercollegiate for men’s college teams.
After the closure of Wolf Run Golf Club, Korda shifted her play to other courses. “After it closed, I played at Crooked Stick. I love that course. I also played at Meridian Hills. But Wolf Run was my heart.”
During the conversation, Korda also revealed the course where she is currently a member.

“Right now, I’m a member at BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens and at The Grove in Hobe Sound.”
BallenIsles Country Club is a private club community in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
It includes three 18-hole golf courses. The East Course was designed by Dick Wilson and Joe Lee and later renovated by Nicklaus Design in 2022. It hosted the 1971 PGA Championship.
Beyond golf, the club offers clubhouse facilities, fitness and spa areas, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and dining spaces.
Meanwhile, The Grove XXIII serves as a private retreat owned by Michael Jordan. It is located in Hobe Sound, Florida, on the site of a former citrus grove.
The 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Bobby Weed. Its layout uses a double-helix routing system, allowing multiple nine-hole and shorter loop options.
The club operates on an invitation-only membership basis.
