The 41-year-old Anthony Kim finished third among the 22 players who made the weekend cut at the LIV Golf League Promotions event at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida.

Anthony Kim had a closing at 5-under to earn one of the three available spots. With that result, Kim returns to LIV Golf after being relegated in 2025.

But Kim’s return was shaped by more than the numbers on his scorecard, as a look at what Anthony Kim had in his bag during the event shows how he earned his place back on the LIV Golf League.

Anthony Kim’s Driver

Anthony Kim used a GT3 driver from Titleist during the event. In doing so, his setup allowed for weight adjustments to influence shot shape and strike location, while the design focused on maintaining ball speed across the face. 

The construction reduced weight through the crown material, and the head shape presented a compact look at address that supported control and consistency.

As part of Titleist’s newer GT series, the driver follows the TSR line with an emphasis on added personalization and CG adjustability to influence distance and ball flight, as noted by Today's Golfer. 

As a result, the GT3 is designed for players looking to fine-tune distance control and shot shaping through adjustable settings rather than relying on a fixed setup.

Anthony Kim’s Fairway Wood

When it comes to Kim’s setup, he carries a single fairway wood. Over the past few months, that choice has varied, with Kim switching between the Titleist TSR2 and the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond, both set at 14 degrees of loft.

The Titleist TSR2 fairway wood is built to promote a higher launch through a low, face-centered CG, helping players generate distance, particularly when used off the tee. 

Weight savings from the open hosel design allow mass to be redistributed for improved launch conditions, while SureFit adjustability enables changes to loft and lie. 

By comparison, the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond focuses on lower spin and ball flight control. Its compact head shape and AI-designed face use player data to spread contact points across the face. 

A carbon chassis supports weight movement, and a 14-gram sole weight can be positioned to influence launch, spin, and ball speed.

Anthony Kim’s Utility Iron

Anthony Kim is the only player in the group to carry a utility iron, with the three-time PGA Tour winner using a Srixon ZX Mk II 2-iron.

In terms of design, the Srixon ZX Mk II 2-iron uses a variable thickness structure on the back of the face to promote flex at impact, which supports ball speed and distance. 

In addition, the club is built with a multi-piece forged construction, combining a SUP10 face to enhance face movement with a forged 1020 carbon steel body that helps manage vibration at contact

Anthony Kim’s Iron

Kim now plays a Titleist T200 in the 4-iron slot, before switching to TaylorMade P7TW irons from the 5-iron through pitching wedge. Notably, the same iron model is also used by Scottie Scheffler, the current World No. 1.

In terms of construction, the TaylorMade P7TW irons were developed in collaboration with Tiger Woods, with a focus on control, shot shaping, and uniform feel through the set.

As a result, the design is intended for players who strike the ball consistently and prefer a setup that supports controlled launch and spin characteristics.

Anthony Kim’s wedges

Kim carries SM10 wedges in 50 and 54 degrees, along with a Vokey WedgeWorks model set at 58 degrees. 

All three wedges are built with the same shafts used throughout his iron set, maintaining consistency across the setup.

Anthony Kim’s Putters

Finally, the setup is completed with the putter; Kim carries a Scotty Cameron Tourtype Buttonback Prototype, a design that aligns closely with the Newport 2 shape he used earlier in his professional career.

Scotty Cameron Tourtype Buttonback Prototype features a face insert secured by three visible screws, a detail that gives the model its name.

The insert is made from a Teryllium alloy, while the overall construction follows a traditional layout commonly seen in putters used on professional tours.

Rounding out the setup, Kim plays the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball, while it remains uncertain whether Hellgren is using the Pro V1 or the Pro V1x.
