Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll’s Florida estate offers more than glossy luxury—it reflects a life built around precision, calm, and control. Step past the gates and the home immediately reveals how the couple balances elite athletic demands with grounded family living, creating a space shaped by intention rather than spectacle.

Set on 2.4 acres inside The Bear's Club in Jupiter, the sprawling 13,000-square-foot mansion spans nine bedrooms and ten bathrooms. A a spacious yet functional sanctuary for family, rest, and focus. He originally bought this home in 2017 from another golf legend, Ernie Els. The home has been McIlroy’s U.S. base for years and it shows a blend of practicality and ease.

The house features a home theater, a games room, a state-of-the-art gym, a recording studio for downtime, a six-car garage, and outside, an infinity pool, a tennis court, and lush privacy landscaping: amenities that support both athletic demands and low-key family life.

A Shift From Sunshine Estate to English Home Base

Despite the opulence and familiarity of Florida, McIlroy and Stoll are preparing for a new chapter. They’re building a house in Wentworth Estate near London and plan to move there permanently after the 2025 U.S. Open.

According to NBC Sports, McIlroy said, "We first went to London with Erica and Poppy to see our new home that we're building and we made the trip over to Belfast to see a few other people that are important to us." He further added, "Just to be with them, to be with Erica and Poppy and my mom and dad.”

Though they will relocate, the Jupiter mansion will likely remain a base for McIlroy’s U.S. tour commitments.

Climate, Family and Priorities: Why the Move

The decision to swap Florida sun for England’s cooler climate appears deeply personal. For Erica, originally from upstate New York, the Florida heat never quite felt like home. She was once overheard telling another pro golfer, “I really don’t like the sun.”

That climate preference, combined with a desire for stability and a permanent base in Europe. It is closer to McIlroy’s roots and seems to have driven the shift. As McIlroy himself acknowledged, the new house in Wentworth will serve as the family's main “base.”

The Florida estate stands as a silent witness to McIlroy’s rise, victories, and long hours of training. It has provided privacy in a high-pressure life, space for family, and necessary calm between tournaments.

As the family prepares to anchor themselves in the U.K., the Jupiter mansion remains a reminder of the years that shaped McIlroy’s prime. Not an ending, but a marker of transition, a place that supported his climb, even as the next chapter quietly takes form across the Atlantic.
