LIV Golf faces a dual exodus as its marquee signings reassess their futures. 2023 Masters champion Jon Rahm is all set to leave LIV Golf. However, there is a high chance that a two-time Green Jacket winner will join him.
Since the PIF’s withdrawal, LIV Golf is under heavy pressure to secure new investors. The “LIV 2.0” is fighting hard to materialize. But even if they do, Watson may not stick around.
“All 57 players and they're talking through it, what it's going to look like next year. So yeah I have the option. I can quit or I can keep playing," Watson said.

Watson's flexibility underscores the fragility of LIV's roster amid investor uncertainty.
Since jumping ship in 2022, 12-time PGA Tour winner Bubba Watson might've played his last LIV event at Indianapolis, according to Spanish outlet TenGolf.
The uncertainty around the breakaway tour has left LIV Golfers in a dilemma. Most have started assessing their future options, and some don’t see a future in the team-golf model.
"You can't say you're in or you're out until you find out what's really going on and what options you have and what that looks like," Watson added, as reported by The Telegraph.
Although LIV CEO Scott O’Neil has confirmed a new lead investor, reportedly BC Partners, the transaction is yet to be completed.
Watson's tenure as RangeGoats captain appears finite, pending official announcement.
Looking to assess his future options, Watson recently confirmed his participation in the 2026 DP World India Championship. It remains to be seen where he tees off next season.
Multiple reports suggest Rahm is not returning to the rebel tour. When asked, the Legion XIII captain did not make his future clear.
Legion XIII Captain offers no clarity
Two-time major winner Jon Rahm has become one of LIV Golf’s marquee men since joining in late 2023.
Rahm's future has become a talking point. However, he opted to provide no clarity at LIV’s season finale.
"I'm mainly looking forward to a haircut tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. because I need one badly," Rahm said at LIV Indianapolis when asked about his plans, as reported by Bunkered's Josh Lees.
Per The Telegraph, LIV management has already accepted that the Legion XIII captain will leave the breakaway tour.
Reportedly, the Spaniard is still owed around $150 million from the multi-year contract he signed when joining.
Rahm's on his way out. Fellow Masters champion Watson might just join him.
