German Professional Golfer Helen Briem came close to winning before, and then she came close again. But on Sunday at the Evian Resort Golf Club, she romped her way to a win by seven shots.
The 20-year-old won the Jabra Ladies Open de France by the biggest margin of any player on the Ladies European Tour in 2026. It was her second LET title.
Briem started the final round with a three-shot lead and stayed in control all day. She made pars on her first six holes before making a birdie on the seventh. The key moment came when she made three birdies in four holes between the 11th and 14th holes. She finished the tournament at 12-under-par.
"It's been a long time," Briem said, as per SkySports. "I came close a couple of times, and I didn't make it, but it's a great venue to get my second win. I actually did not really know the standings, so I was always trying to push and make birdies. Then I birdied 11, 12, then 14, and it was easy from there on."
Briem won her first Ladies European Tour title at the La Sella Open in September 2024, with her father, Jochen, carrying her bag. He was on her bag again on Sunday as they celebrated their second LET victory together.
The win also earned Briem a spot in the 2026 Amundi Evian Championship. Her next event will be the Dow Championship, where she will play alongside Nastasia Nadaud before heading to the United States for the next part of her season.
Singapore's Shannon Tan, Wales' Lydia Hall, and Ireland's Sara Byrne were tied for second place at five under par. They ended the tournament seven shots behind Briem.
Byrne and Hall Claim Career-Best Results as Briem Celebrates at Jabra Ladies Open
Sara Byrne's tie for second place was the best result of her Ladies European Tour career. It was also the first time she played in the final group during the last round of an LET event.
"I'm really happy with that week to be tied second," she said. "I'm so proud of how I handled myself out there, and this has been a fun week."
Lydia Hall, a former LET winner, secured her best finish of the 2026 season with a final-round 69.
Briem, meanwhile, kept her celebration understated. She plans to spend time with her sister, who competes the following week, before turning her attention to the majors.
