John Daly’s No-Filter Reaction When Adam Sandler and the Masters Once Came Up in the Same Line Said Everything

After John Daly appeared in Happy Gilmore 2 earlier this year, fans know there's some banter between the two. And that was clear when Daly made a cheeky Sandler claim.

The 59-year-old was present at the premiere of Sandler’s film, Happy Gilmore 2. The reporter asked him whether the Happy Gilmore star could win the Masters if he started every hole from the furthest point from the green.

“No, he still wouldn’t win it. I love him, but he wouldn’t,” he said.

Well, it might go either way. Sandler has been playing golf for a while. And when he played with Bryson DeChambeau earlier this year, Sandler effortlessly hit nearly 200-yard drives.

Moreover, as Sandler revealed in his conversation with DeChambeau, he has been playing golf since he was 12. His father played the sport and got him involved.

While we won't know if Sandler can make it, there's one thing fans know for certain.

John Daly and Adam Sandler Share a Strong Friendship

And as fans noticed, Daly may have been joking, part of the banter he shares with Sandler.

Earlier this year, he noted, "Me and Adam have been good friends for a long, long time, and the guy is just one incredible human being. He’s got a heart of gold, and I love that he keeps his buddies in his movies, and they’re all great actors. It was an honor just to be a part of it."

And the feeling is mutual. When Sandler appeared on The Dan Patrick Show, he was asked about Daly's potential involvement in the film.

"I would like to think so. You never know but I love him."
