Justin Rose has played golf in many parts of the world, but India was the only place missing from his list. That will change in October.

The World No. 5 golfer will play at the DP World India Championship at Delhi Golf Club from October 15 to 18. The tournament has a prize fund of $4 million, and two other big golf stars, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood, are already confirmed to play alongside him.

Justin Rose won the U.S. Open in 2013 and an Olympic gold medal in 2016. Earlier this season, he also won his 13th PGA Tour title. Last September, he played in his seventh Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, where he helped Europe secure its first away win against the United States since 2012.

"I've played all over the world over the course of my career, and I'm excited to get the chance to add India to the list this season," Rose said.

The championship is supported by the Professional Golf Tour of India and has the biggest prize money ever awarded for a DP World Tour event in India.

The event is the eighth tournament in the Back 9 stage of the 2026 Race to Dubai, so important points are available. The tournament offers vital points for Rose's season standings.

"I've heard so much about the country and how passionate the golf fans are," he said. "I'm very much looking forward to teeing it up in the DP World India Championship for the first time and experiencing what Delhi has to offer."

McIlroy and Fleetwood's Returns Add Weight to Justin Rose's Delhi Debut

Fleetwood and McIlroy join Rose to create the tournament's strongest field to date. Rose faces a highly competitive field featuring players in peak form.

Fleetwood won the event’s first edition last season for his eighth DP World Tour title, also claiming the FedEx Cup and a Ryder Cup win at Bethpage Black.

McIlroy arrives after his sixth Major and second Masters win, joining Fleetwood and Rose in the field.

"Justin Rose has competed at the highest levels of the game worldwide throughout his career," said Hemant Kumar Ruia, Country Manager at DP World India Subcontinent. "Making India part of his schedule for the first time is a proud moment."

Delhi Golf Club is about to host its biggest event yet.
