Justin Thomas may be recovering from hip surgery, but he still braved the cold Florida conditions to attend TGL and support Atlanta Drive at Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links. While Thomas didn't play, a fellow PGA Tour pro admired what he did during practice.

Thomas was there to support Billy Horschel, Chris Gotterup, and Lucas Glover as Atlanta Drive Golf Club entered the night unbeaten. However, he did a few shots ahead of the match.

Lucas Glover took notice and spoke about Justin Thomas in a post-match press conference. "Yeah, it was great. I saw him hit a couple shots in there during practice, so pretty sure he's chomping at the bit," Glover said about Thomas' working toward his return.

"I see him a lot here at home practicing hard, and he's working his way back. So really good to see him out and supporting us and cheering us on, having some fun. Good to see him out," added Glover.

The Atlanta Drive ultimately lost 8–6, ending a seven-match winning streak that dated back to the previous season. Lucas Glover is a full-time member of Atlanta Drive GC in the TGL who played alongside Billy Horschel and Chris Gotterup and stepped in for the injured Justin Thomas.

Justin Thomas has yet to return to competition as he continues his recovery from the surgery he underwent in 2025.

All About Justin Thomas’ Surgery, Rehab, and Comeback

Justin Thomas had microdiscectomy surgery in November 2025 at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York to treat a herniated lumbar disc that led to hip and back pain.

"10 weeks post surgery today… feeling good! Recovery has gone well. I’m slowly building back my strength and conditioning in the gym, and also hitting wedges/short irons," Justin Thomas shared on Instagram on January 23.

"Little victories and patience have been the biggest part of the process. Taking it slow and listening to how I’m feeling each day. I’m looking to come back competitively at some point during the Florida swing," he added.

The carousel included multiple videos of Justin Thomas working his hip flexors and core in the gym, as well as taking a few swings on the greens.

The 16-time PGA Tour winner is aiming to return to the PGA Tour during the 2026 Florida swing with the Cognizant Classic in late February as a possible starting point.
