Former World No. 1 Justin Thomas has been struggling for form recently. The two-time major champion returned to the PGA Tour in March following an almost four-month recovery from spinal surgery.

However, the 33-year-old has already earned just shy of $1 million this season. He has earned $896,642 according to the PGA Tour official website, in five events this year.

Last month, he missed the cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a score of 14-over par in two rounds at Bay Hill Club. As a result, he came away with no winnings from the event.

Thomas’ best performance this season came at THE PLAYERS Championship. The 2021 winner of the event finished tied for 8th at 8-under 280. Thomas secured $731,250 from the tournament.

Following that, the American finished tied for 30th as Matt Fitzpatrick lifted the Valspar Championship. With a score of 2-under 282, Thomas earned $51,142 from the event.

At The Masters, Augusta, Thomas played moderately for his standards. The 33-year-old ended up finishing tied for 41st, even though he made some headlines by hitting the first hole-in-one in the Par-3 contest.

Thomas made $83,250 at Augusta National before heading to Hilton Head. The 2025 RBC Heritage winner was unable to defend his title, finishing tied for 77th. The American just added $31,000 to his earnings from the tournament.

With the PGA Championship coming up in almost two weeks, from May 14 to May 17, Thomas will look forward to ending his winless streak at the major, where he has already proved himself.

Thomas’ Record At The PGA Championship

Justin Thomas has been solid at the PGA Championship, winning two times. And winning multiple Wannamaker trophies is a feat that only 22 golfers have done so far.

In 2017, Thomas won his first PGA Championship. He secured the trophy with a score of 3-under 68 and a two-stroke lead.

Thomas staged a historic comeback at Southern Hills in 2022. The American closed off a seven-shot deficit in the final round. Eventually, he won against fellow American Will Zalatoris in the three-hole aggregate playoff.

Thomas’s 2025 RBC Heritage victory snapped a three-year winless drought. But he created another winless streak owing to his injuries after the RBC Heritage win.
