Kai Trump Relates Strongly to Bryson DeChambeau as the LIV Golfer Addresses Online Criticism

Kai Trump's school project gave golfers a small lesson when she interviewed Bryson DeChambeau and her father, Donald Trump Jr., on her YouTube channel.
She asked if Bryson DeChambeau feels pressure from expectations created by the media and social media. And Bryson put it really well.
“When you have all these expectations on you, you're doing it to yourself... You're the same person, no matter if you're in a golf tournament or right outside the golf tournament. I look at it the same way: you're going to make yourself as anxious as you want to be, as nervous as he wants to be...In those high pressure moments, I say to myself 'It's not that big of deal. Imagine if you're just outside and nobody knew who you were.'"

DeChambeau's words resonated with Kai. She took a brief moment to explain the reality of what handling that pressure feels like. "Nothing changes. When you practice, and when you're playing in tournaments, it's the same stuff."
Kai Trump took some time to understand that through golf. Just last month, when she made her debut at The Annika, she shot a first-round 83, putting her in last place out of 108 players. However, on the second day, she made a solid comeback, putting up five-over 75.
While she didn't make the cut, Kai Trump learned how to handle the nerves
Speaking about her experience with her aunt, Lara Trump, she explained feeling nervous.
"The first day, I’ve never been more nervous in my entire life...It was very nerve-racking. For the nerves, I played well the first day. Then, the second day, I kinda went out there and was like, ‘OK, no more nerves.’ The nerves weren’t as bad and I did really well. So, I mean, it was a great experience. Thankful for the opportunity."
DeChambeau and a few other golfers, however, felt that Kai handled herself well. "We didn’t know how she was going to do, she handled herself very well, and what a great opportunity."
As Kai pursues a golf career, her ability to deal with the pressure will only get better. Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
