LIV Golf says its Adelaide event generated a total economic impact of $118.6 million for Australia's economy, up 36% over 2025. The tournament attracted a record 115,000 attendees and further cemented Adelaide's place as one of the league's marquee stops.

As Antony Kim completed a historic comeback to professional golf, a record crowd watched him capture his first LIV Golf title and first professional victory in nearly 16 years.

“The passion of the fans in South Australia is unmatched, and we’re incredibly proud to see growing interest and support for LIV Golf as well as Ripper GC,” said Ross Hallett, EVP, Head of Event for LIV Golf.

"The event’s success has translated into a substantial and lasting positive impact for the region and is a testament to the impact we want to have with our partners in host communities across the globe," he added.

The event also delivered A$97.1 million directly to the Adelaide economy. LIV Golf described Adelaide as the largest golf event in Australia's history, while the league says its tournaments have generated more than $1.5 billion in total global economic impact since launching in 2022.

"LIV Golf Adelaide continues to set a new standard for what a golf tournament can bring to a city,” said Hallett.

LIV Adelaide turned out to be the largest golf event in Australia’s history, with 115,000 attendees. The team-based league’s four-day format began at this event itself.

In terms of tourism as well, the event did wonders. Forty-three percent of the total attendees traveled to the tournament from outside South Australia.

What Happened At LIV Adelaide

Ripper GC, the home team, came out on top at The Grange East Course and won the team title.

“I don’t really know what to say. It’s overwhelming, but I’m never not going to fight,” said Anthony Kim.

Kim secured the LIV Adelaide title and won his first professional tournament victory in nearly 16 years.

A bogey-free final round of 63 helped him finish at 23-under par for the tournament. The 40-year-old won by three strokes over Spain’s Jon Rahm.

Kim secured the $4 million payout as well with the title, as the record crowd witnessed a historic comeback.
