After years of tournament schedules, practice rounds, and life on the LPGA Tour, life is going to take a turn for Gemma Dryburgh
As Dryburgh and her partner, Anne-Lise Bidou, expect their child's arrival on Christmas Eve, the golfer talked about the LPGA Tour's offering that will help her balance motherhood and golf.
“Tour life will be a bit different. Thankfully, there are daycare facilities at every tour venue, so that will be helpful.”
It's a unique offering in professional women’s sports, as players and staff are given an option to bring their children along with them on the Tour.
According to LPGA Development Center director Bardine May, "Whatever we can do to make their lives easy, we’re gonna do. We’re the three really main things besides their parents that are consistent in [the kids’] lives, from birth to five years old."
And Gemma Dryburgh is trying to get the best of both worlds
With some of the biggest LPGA athletes also being mothers, Dryburgh has no shortage of advice, and she's going to make good use of it.
"A lot of girls travel with their kids, so I’ve been asking around for advice. They’ve given me lots of tips on what prams to bring and what to travel with; simple things but important things to know when it’s all new."
Dryburgh recently completed her eighth LPGA Tour season, and after a great 2025 season, 2026 will be a transition to another beautiful chapter beyond golf.
