Hannah Green knew she won. What she didn't realize was how long it had been. After capturing the HSBC Women's World Championship, the Australian golfer had an honest reaction when she learned nearly 500 days had passed since her last individual LPGA title.

Green addressed the stretch during the press conference HSBC Women's World Championship on Sunday.

"I don't know why I'm feeling this way. I haven't really felt like that in a while, but I guess if it's been that long, perhaps that's why. I felt like I was hitting a lot of good shots. I just kind of had to stay patient. That's kind of what I did."

Hannah Green closed at 14-under par to secure a one-shot win over Auston Kim, earning her seventh LPGA Tour victory. After the win, Green moved to No. 20 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. Earlier in her career, she had reached a high of No. 5 in 2024.

Prior to this title, Green’s last individual LPGA victory came at the BMW Ladies Championship on October 20, 2024. After that win, she continued to compete throughout 2025.

In October, she represented Australia at the International Crown and contributed to the team’s victory. However, despite multiple starts during the season, she did not secure another individual LPGA title for nearly 16 months.

The victory also came with a key change on the bag.

Hannah Green Added Another Layer to the Win

At the start of the 2026 season, Felton stepped in as a replacement after Green’s regular caddie was unable to travel outside the United States while completing his U.S. Green Card process.

He was on the bag during her win at the HSBC Women's World Championship on March 1, which marked her first victory with him carrying the bag.

For now, Green has said she will continue working with her husband during her events in Australia, including the Australian Open.

After that, once she returns to the United States later in the month, her regular caddie is expected to rejoin her.

Was Hannah Green’s return to the winner’s circle worth the 500-day wait?
