Tennessee’s Lynn Lim capped off her collegiate career with a series of achievements both on the course and in the classroom. Those accomplishments have now earned the Vanderbilt standout one of women’s golf’s highest honors.

The Dinah Shore Trophy is awarded to a top collegiate female golfer who has graduated with a minimum 3.2 GPA, participated in at least 50% of her team’s events, and maintained a scoring average of 78 or less.

“I am incredibly honored to be this year’s recipient of the Dinah Shore Trophy Award. This recognition reflects the support and influence of so many people who have contributed to my journey,” said Lim.

“Further, I am deeply grateful to the LPGA, Friends of Golf, and all those who have carried forward Dinah Shore’s remarkable legacy of advancing and growing the women’s game,” she added, as reported by LPGA.

Lim graduated with a 3.965 GPA and a bachelor's degree in Political Science.

She was a four-time WGCA Academic All-American and earned Dean’s List recognition every semester during her time at Vanderbilt.

“We are incredibly proud of Lynn,” said Vanderbilt Head Coach Greg Allen. “This is a great honor for her and our program. What makes her special isn’t just the scores she posts or the accolades she earns, it’s the impact she has on everyone around her.”

Three years ago, Lim won SEC Freshman of the Year honors and became just the second Commodore in program history to do so. As a junior, she led the Commodores to the team title at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach.

In her final season, she secured her first collegiate victory at the Clemson Invitational. It came on the back of a school-record 9-under 63 in the first round.

Lim’s excellence did not go unnoticed, as she was also named the SEC Women’s Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year, again becoming just the second Commodore to do so, further reflecting the qualities the Dinah Shore Trophy was created to recognize.

More about the Dinah Shore Trophy

The award was established in 1994, when Friends of Golf honored its “First Lady of FOG,” the late Dinah Shore, who was a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

Shore belongs to both the LPGA and the World Golf Hall of Fame and was a stalwart supporter of women’s golf.

The Dinah Shore Trophy has supported women’s collegiate golf programs across the USA. It has contributed more than $225,000 to the programs, as per LPGA.

Friends of Golf will add to that endeavor, as it has allotted grants to Vanderbilt’s women’s golf program alongside the LPGA Foundation.
