McLaren Golf added Justin Rose and Ian Poulter to its roster in a 24-hour expansion. The veteran duo joins as the motorsport brand prepares for its high-performance equipment launch.
With the aim of delivering a "new benchmark for golf equipment," the two big-name signings have brought McLaren Golf under the spotlight. After the signing, Poulter had a few words to share about his new venture.
“It’s been incredible to see McLaren enter the world of golf. Their history in motorsport as a benchmark for engineering, performance, and innovation brings a huge depth of knowledge and experience,” Poulter told Flushing It Golf.
“As an investor alongside some outstanding people, this promises to be a very exciting journey,” he added.
McLaren Golf is set to have its official product launch on April 29, 2026, and Poulter will be a part of it as both an investor and ambassador.
Poulter’s presence is massive for the brand. One of the most prolific performers in the Ryder Cup, Poulter brings with him a strong social media presence, a prospering YouTube channel, as well as a well-known liking for Formula 1.
A regular at McLaren racing events, Poulter attended the Las Vegas Grand Prix and maintains close ties with CEO Zak Brown, the chief executive officer of McLaren Racing.
“Justin Rose has played a pivotal role in testing and development with the McLaren team over the last two years. Knowing his relentless drive for perfection, he brings an exceptional eye and deep understanding of equipment,” Poulter stated.
Poulter shifted from his previous setup, which featured a Titleist T250 4-iron, T100 irons from 5–9, and a Vokey SM10 pitching wedge.
Currently, he carries McLaren models from 4-iron through pitching wedge. The configuration includes a CB Prototype 4-iron alongside MB Prototype irons from 5-iron to pitching wedge.
With the official product launch, McLaren Golf will look ahead to a flying start with these two big names.
The McLaren Golf Stars With The New Products
Justin Rose is set to officially use McLaren Golf’s new irons at the PGA Tour’s Cadillac Championship in Doral after the unveiling on Wednesday.
Poulter will be able to put the new irons into play at LIV Golf Virginia, which is set to take place in May.
Unlike Rose, Poulter will not be using the McLaren Golf papaya-colored tour bag, instead sticking with his Majesticks GC colors.
It’s too early to say whether the Majesticks GC co-captain will carry any McLaren branding when he plays his next event.
However, Rose looks forward to wearing the McLaren Golf logo on his clothing.
