"Unfortunately…": LPGA Star Jokes About Driving While Praising F1 Star Fiancé's Golf

Lilly Muni He is back at the Honda LPGA Thailand for the first time since 2023, and she brought more than just her clubs.

The LPGA pro got engaged to Williams F1 driver Alex Albon in January 2026. At her press conference in Pattaya on February 18, 2026, one question kept popping up to her more than any other question. Who’s the better driver?

"Unfortunately, I prefer not to drive at all," she said. "I can drive, but I'm more of a passenger princess."

She had no problem, though, giving Albon full credit on the golf course.

"He's gotten very good at golf throughout our relationship, so I have to give that one to him."

And the numbers kind of prove it. Albon’s best score playing with her was a 79. For any amateur, breaking 80 is a big deal, and he did it while racing a full F1 season with Williams.

He tries to help with her swing when he can, but whether she actually takes the advice? That’s a different story.

Their relationship goes back to 2019, when Muni first found Albon through Netflix’s Drive to Survive. From there, things just grew naturally.

Putting the personal stuff aside, Muni came into this week with some big changes to her game.

She swapped out every club from the 6-iron up. She actually started the overhaul in the middle of a tournament last season. At the PIF Saudi Ladies International earlier in February 2026, she went four rounds straight without a bogey in tough conditions.

For someone still chasing her first LPGA win, that kind of result really matters.

Her mindset has changed, too. She’s less focused on results and more on improving her game overall. She believes the rankings will follow on their own.

The 2026 Honda LPGA Thailand runs Feb. 19-22 at Siam Country Club Old Course.

What do you think? Can she make her return to Thailand count? Let us know in the comments!
