If it wasn't a significant achievement to win the Players Championship, Cameron Young has done that in front of his family.

Cameron Young won the 2026 Players Championship on Sunday, securing his second PGA Tour title.

Speaking during the press conference after the final round of The Players Championship, Cameron Young shared a light moment about how his children reacted to the occasion.

"My kids are more interested in the drone than the trophy, which I think is a really nice bit of perspective on a day like today. But yeah, really thankful to have them here," he said.

The victory came with his two sons, Henry and John, his wife Kelsey Dalition, and his daughter Vivienne, present to witness the moment.

The win came after Young began the final round four shots behind the leader, Ludvig Aberg. He gradually moved up the leaderboard during Sunday’s play and remained in contention entering the closing stretch.

One of the key moments arrived at the par-3 17th, often referred to as the “Island Green,” where Young made a birdie to strengthen his position near the top of the leaderboard. He then stepped onto the 18th tee tied with Matt Fitzpatrick for the lead.

Young delivered a 375-yard drive on the 18th hole, the longest recorded on that hole in the ShotLink era. Both players faced pressure on the final hole, but the outcome was decided when Young made par while Fitzpatrick made a bogey after his drive went into the trees.

The result placed Young at 13-under-par for the tournament, one shot ahead of Fitzpatrick. With the result, Young moved up to No. 4 in the Official World Golf Ranking and No. 2 in the FedExCup standings.

28-year-old also reflected on why it was meaningful to finally experience a winning moment with his family by his side.

Cameron Young fulfilled a long-held dream sharing his win with his family

Cameron Young said he had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

"Last year at the Wyndham Championship happened to be one of three weeks that they missed all year, so they were celebrating 2,500 miles away," he said.

That moment he referred to came during the 2025 Wyndham Championship, where Cameron Young earned his first PGA Tour win.

Young secured the title on August 3, 2025, at Sedgefield Country Club. The victory came after 93 PGA Tour starts and seven runner-up finishes without a win. He finished the tournament six strokes ahead of the field to claim the title.
