The NBA legend LeBron James has never shied away from showing his love for Golf. However, his passion is now taking him to a whole new platform as he announced the launch of his new YouTube channel, giving fans a closer look into his golf journey. 

James' passion for the sport is something that has been cultivated over time. So much so that multiple indoor golf facilities have reached out to him and offered free access to their facility. On Saturday, August 15, he further cemented his love for the sport as he dropped his first vlog-style video on his new golf-dedicated YouTube channel. 

The first video he put out featured his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammates from the 2016 championship-winning squad, such as Tristan Thompson, Kevin Love, J.R. Smith, Channing Frye, and Richard Jefferson.  

The video further featured the group playing a 3-on-3 for a round of golf at Cabot Highlands Resort's Castle Stuart Links in Scotland. Highlights of the same were posted by Uninterrupted on their Instagram. 

Just earlier this year, while talking to Melissa Rohlin of the California Post, James revealed that golf was something he had taken up because he loved the challenging nature of the sport.

"I love how difficult it is. I love a challenge," James said in the interview with Rohlin.  

However, that is not all. Just earlier this week, LeBron James was offered classes to improve his golfing craft by one of the golf legends. 

Rory McIlroy offers LeBron James golf classes

As James continues to develop his passion for golf, he could soon have a helping hand from one of golf’s legends. And that just so happens to be the six-time Major champion, Rory McIlroy. 

As McIlroy prepared to compete in the FedEx St. Jude Championship, he spoke to the media, during which he was questioned about which celebrity he would give golf lessons to. He quickly named James as his pick. 

"LeBron's really gotten into golf, and he's the most unbelievably gifted athlete, but it doesn't look like it when he's on the golf course," He said via the PGA Tour on Instagram. "So, I'd love to give him a lesson."

James was quick to react to McIlroy’s response to the question as he took to his Instagram story to express his feelings about the same. He reposted the post by the PGA Tour and captioned it, writing:

"Well guess what! I'm in for that lesson FOR SURE!!" He wrote, adding a grinning emoji.

From getting offered a golf lesson by Rory McIlroy himself to launching his own golf channel, James' golf journey is only getting more interesting to follow.
