LeBron James gave Nelly Korda a very special gift when she arrived in Los Angeles for the U.S. Women's Open. The basketball superstar presented the world's No. 1 golfer with a custom pair of Nike Victory Pro 4 golf shoes that no one else owns.

On June 3, just before the tournament at Riviera Country Club, James gifted Korda the player-exclusive shoes. According to Nike, the pair was made only for Korda. Korda later shared her reaction on Instagram Stories after receiving the gift from LeBron James.

"OKKKKKK!!! Thank you for these! Will be wearing these tomorrow," Korda wrote while tagging James.

The post made it clear that the World No. 1 was excited to put the shoes to use right away.

According to GOLF.com and Complex Sneakers, the shoe's design is inspired by James' famous "Old Glory" LeBron 23 basketball shoe. The shoe features a white leather upper, gold Nike Swooshes, light blue lining, and red-and-navy details around the edges. A small American flag pin on the laces completes the design.

James has also made no secret of his golf obsession. He tweeted "Bring it on home, Nelly!" during her Chevron Championship win earlier this year. He also appeared alongside PGA Tour player Tom Kim in a Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 commercial at the start of 2026.

This isn't Korda's first custom Nike moment. In November 2025 at The Annika, she debuted the Nike Free Golf "Nelly Korda," a Leo-inspired white, red, and yellow design with gold chain detailing.

LeBron James And His Growing Obsession With Golf

LeBron James' interest in golf started after he appeared on camera with Bob Does Sports, a popular golf YouTube group. After that, he became more involved in the sport.

He regularly shared his thoughts about golf on X, posting about major moments such as Nelly Korda's big wins and Rory McIlroy's famous chip shot on the 17th hole at the Masters in April.

His growing interest in golf also led to commercial opportunities. Early in 2026, James appeared with PGA Tour golfer Tom Kim in a Nike Powerbeats Pro 2 advertisement. It marked one of his first major connections between his Nike brand and the golf world.

Golf provides James with a competitive outlet outside of his record-breaking basketball career.

The custom shoes made for Korda are the latest example of LeBron James' growing connection to golf. The U.S. Women's Open airs live on Golf Channel and Peacock.
