Sir Nick Faldo's open-heart surgery earlier this year, doused his wife Lindsay Faldo into concern. But six weeks later, Lady Faldo feels a lot more "relieved."

On February 19, Lindsay shared an Instagram post disclosing that Sir Nick Faldo is recovering well after his open-heart surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. The six-time major winner had been under medical supervision for nearly 16 years before doctors decided in early January that it was time to operate.

After passing the worrying phase of Sir Nick's surgery, Mrs. Faldo said "Now, as we enter six weeks on the other side, there is something different - relief. The kind that feels like a quiet exhale. The sense that we are over the hump and moving
forward with firm ground beneath us.

Subsequently, Lindsay stated what Sir Nick's fans wanted to hear eagerly. She disclosed, "He's doing very well. Recovery is steady, and perspective has settled in where fear once lived." She also took a moment to thank everyone in the medical team who took care of Sir Nick through the untoward phase.

Besides talking about her husband's case, Lindsay also used her post to raise awareness about aortic conditions. She warned that these problems can develop quietly, without clear symptoms, and many people do not realize something is wrong until medical treatment becomes necessary. "If sharing this experience raises awareness for even one person, it's worthwhile," she wrote.
